Honoring a Legacy of Boldness and Beauty
Karamen Ballard was more than a pursuer of truth; he was a prophetic visionary, challenging people to live deep, fearless, and come into their heritage unapologetically. His enthusiasm for growth and empowerment urged so many to believe in themselves and their lineages. It is a vision that birthed Girls With Kinks back in 2011, a community dedicated to celebrating natural beauty, wellness, and self-expression.
As a loving husband and father, Karamen was resilient and strong; now, his resilience and strength lead our family through his loss after an 11-year battle with cancer. His transition has left a void, but his legacy fuels our mission to continue his work.
Today, Girls With Kinks is more than a page; it’s a movement for the Black community to love themselves unapologetically. We celebrate Karamen through this expansion, allowing generations to be themselves while creating impact that will last.
